The underwater photograms in this series were made over the period of one year in Sabino Canyon in Tucson, Arizona. Sabino Canyon is part of the Coconino National Forest and is a unique riparian area cradled in the Santa Catalina Mountains. Snow run-off and seasonal rains feed Sabino Creek, which has a water flow that varies with the seasons. Each month, for one year, I hiked to the same location, approximately 1.5 miles into the canyon, to create photograms which show a visual comparison of the transience of water. Color, texture, and movement of the water are
influenced by variables such as temperature, water depth and flow, and surrounding plant and animal influences.

Chromogenic prints in this series are available for $200 each, plus shipping. Please contact artist to purchase.
